Are Animals Healers? The Healing Power of A Cat’s Purr

Animals are healers

Did you know there’s healing power in a cat’s purr?

I have always maintained that animals are highly intelligent, feeling, reasoning, spiritual beings – and they are natural healers.

They are attuned to our sense of well-being, both physical and mental. When we take the time to learn how they communicate they have the capacity to help us heal…

…and to tell us when they are in pain.

via GIPHY

Why do cats purr?

Most people associate a cat’s purr with happiness. And that’s one of the times you’ll hear your sweet kitty purring…when they’re contented and curled up in your lap.  Makes you feel happy too, right?

Pet owners should be aware, though, that cats will also purr when they’re feeling anxious, and when they’re sick and in pain.

It can be misleading… and can lead to prolonged suffering for your poor cat if you don’t pay attention to the signal they’re sending you.

Because it’s true that a purr is soothing… when they don’t feel well, they are trying to self-soothe and comfort.

But, this soothing purr goes deeper than a comforting sound – there’s more science to it than you might think.

They’re not purring to soothe themselves as we would listen to calming music…

…because scientists have discovered that all cats around the world purr at a specific healing frequency.

cat's purr 3

The healing frequency of a cat’s purr

Research has shown that all domestic cats – and most wild cats – purr at the exact same frequencies. Their purrs range between 20 Hertz and 150 Hertz.

Amazingly, these frequencies correspond and conform to optimal conditions our bodies need to heal damaged tissue and bones.

In fact, the medical community took note and created similar frequency emitting devices that help heal broken bones and other types of problems.

That’s because our cells actually change shape and repair themselves more quickly when exposed to these frequencies.

We’ve all seen cats make acrobatic leaps, parkouring around the room…it’s hard to believe they don’t jar their joints or pull a muscle twisting into a pretzel doing it.

When you understand the medical reason why cats purr, it turns out they just might have harmed themselves… and their purring is giving off a frequency that’s helping to heal the torn muscle or sore hips.

In fact, some researchers have concluded this is one of the reasons veterinarians are required to perform fewer major surgeries on cats compared to dogs… cats have a trick up their sleeve, a healing superpower.

Because animals are natural healers, it’s time to consider that, when your cat curls up and purrs on your legs, your chest, or one of your arms, they are trying to share their healing superpower with you.

Animals want to share their healing powers.

My late husband always loved to cuddle with our one cat, TuffyTiger, a sweet natured, big hearted grey tabby.

It was the strangest thing… anytime he’d lay down for a rest, she would be on top of him, in a specific spot, stretched out over his chest, purring at the top of her ability.

She’d snuggle into him and always finally settle herself over his right side… over his liver.

This went on for years. He always felt refreshed after resting with TuffyTiger nestled on him, purring her heart out.

After 18 years together, we separated. Not long after, he started to suffer from pain in his chest and stomach area, and, sadly, later discovered that he had inoperable “bile duct” cancer. In fact, his body was riddled with cancer.

For all those years, our cat TuffyTiger had been sharing her healing power with him through the power of her purr, stopping the pain, improving his health and well-being.

And when he no longer had access to her daily soothing ministrations, the cancer grew at an alarming rate. He died a few months afterward.

cat's purr 2

Pay attention when a cat works on your body

I’ve learned to pay attention when an animal takes an interest in me, and especially in a specific area of my body… what are they trying to communicate?

So many times the animals I meet tell me that their human seriously underestimates their intelligence and intuition.

Whether you learn to speak with your pets, ask a pet communicator like me to have a conversation with your pet, or simply try to stay attuned to the messages they’re trying to give you, there’s so much to be learned.

Animals are spiritual creatures – a window into your soul and a reflection of your state of being.

Listening and paying attention to your cat’s purr will open up a door to knowledge, understanding, and healing.

Top 4 Dog Health Problems: Vomiting, Worms, Diarrhea, Ears

Does your dog have any of these top 4 dog health problems?

If you’re a dog parent, you need to be familiar with these top 4 dog health problems! vet kidney and liver failure in dogs

It’s so sad seeing our dogs feel sick because, unlike people, an animal can’t tell you in your own language what’s wrong.

So unless you speak their language, it’s hard to know what to do to make them feel better.

In fact, one of the biggest problems dogs have with people is that their humans haven’t taken the time to learn to speak in their language!  You can hire a professional to help you communicate with your dog…

And, you can fix the problem right now by discovering how to talk to animals yourself!  Start by get your copy of our free ebook:  Hidden Secrets to Communicating with Pets – CLICK NOW

Keep your pet healthy by being aware of the symptoms of the most common 4 dog health problems.

Knowing this will help ensure you can spot disease, problems and illness right when it happens.

Vomiting

According to Washington State University, dog vomit is the result of primary causes like diseases of the upper intestinal tract and stomach.  Then there are the secondary causes, which are other diseases in the body that contribute to “an accumulation of toxic substances in the blood.”

When it comes to dog health problems like vomit, sometimes dog owners will confuse vomit with regurgitation. Vomit is already digested contents, causing the animal to heave and produce a yellow fluid. Regurgitation is fairly passive, this is where not-yet processed foods are expelled from the animal.

Secondary causes include a number of diseases and scenarios from kidney and liver failure to the ingestion toxins like lead, insecticides and other chemicals. This is why it is so important to keep toxic chemicals out of pet’s reach and to always hire professionals like pest control by Orkin, who understand the dangers chemicals can have on pets.

Just like people, sometimes pets puke for unexplainable reasons.

Simply, sometimes it just happens. It’s good to be safe and make a veterinarian appointment and get a check-up.

But if vomiting persists and your pet appears to be in pain, aloof or abnormally tired you want to seek medical attention immediately.

Worms

This is one of the major issues underlying dog health problems that many dog parents don’t pay enough attention to.

Worms are parasites and, according to www.petmed.com, the most common types are roundworms, whipworms, hookworms and tapeworms.  Of those, only roundworms and tapeworms are visible to the naked eye in a dog’s stool.

When a worm infestation is present, dogs will typically appear to be ill with symptoms such as dry hair, change in mood, weight loss, diarrhea and vomiting.

Larvae can live dormant in a dog for some time undetected, so a stool sample is usually required to know which parasite is present.

Clean up dog feces regularly and watch dogs in dog parks as unclean areas can be sources for a dog to pick up worm larvae.

Take dogs to the veterinarian regularly, and always follow veterinarian instructions.

Diarrhea  dog games girl

No list of dog health problems would be complete without considering the causes and effects of diarrhea.  So what causes loose, soft serve or runny stool?

Dr Robert J. Silver said in an article for The Bark Dog Magazine, that diarrhea is caused by a dietary problems or stress.

The good news is, diarrhea itself is usually nothing to worry about, sometimes dogs eat things they shouldn’t.  They are scavengers at heart after all.

You do want to make sure that dogs do not have access to trash, litter boxes (if you also have a cat) and other possibly stomach trouble-causing things.

If diarrhea lasts longer than 48 hours, see a doctor.

When diarrhea is mixed with other symptoms like black stool, blood in stool, loss of appetite, vomiting or signs of pain?

Seek medical attention as soon as possible.  If it goes on too long, then the dog can become dehydrated and many other dog health problems will be triggered.

Ear Infections

Finally, one of the most common of the 4 top dog health problems is issues with their EARS!

According to ASPCA, ear mites, trapped water, growing hair, a foreign object or tumor in the ear canal can lead to an overgrowth of bacteria or yeast which are the most common causes of ear infections in dogs.

Dogs prone to allergies and floppy ears are more likely to get ear infections.

Incorrect ear cleaning, bathing and swimming can cause ear infections because moisture and particles are trapped inside the ear canal.  And that aids bacteria growth.

According to ASPCA, symptoms of an ear infection include:

  • Ear scratching
  • Odor in the ear
  • Brown, yellow or bloody discharge
  • Redness
  • Crusted or scabby skin near the ear
  • Swelling
  • Hair loss around the ear
  • Head shaking or head tilt
  • Not normal eye movements
  • Walking in circles
  • Loss of balance
  • Hearing loss

If any signs of these dog health problems are present, it is probably best to have ears professionally checked by a veterinarian.

To avoid ear infection regularly check and clean your dog’s ears.

clairaudience

One of the best ways to experience that is to learn animal communication yourself.

“To be able to talk with my animals and provide them a happy and healthy life is exactly what I most want to do.”

“I would LOVE to hear what I need to know from the animals.”

11 of 27 Total Reasons to Learn How To Communicate with Animals Are…

To be clearer, let’s look at these reasons to learn animal communication a little closer…

1. You can solve your pet’s behavior, training or performance problems by going beneath the surface in a conversation.

When you know how to communicate with animals, you can simply ask your dog why she is behaving badly, or not listening to you.

Why are they still going to the bathroom inside the house?

Why did your horse nip you or buck, or miss their cue?  Are they happy?

What is it about that specific spot in your bedroom that makes your cat become skittish or with that particular animal that they are aggressive?

Why won’t your cat use their litter box?

Can you imagine how much easier it would be to train animals properly, solve behavior problems, and improve things if you could just talk to them about stuff?

Find out where and why things go wrong, and with their help get back on track?

Through the conversation, heart to heart, mind to mind, they can help once you can hear and understand them and their unique viewpoints. hidden secrets to communicating with pets

2. Enjoy a healthier, happier pet because you’ll be able to help them feel better when they get hurt, are in pain or are sick

Let’s say you wake up one morning to find your cat puking on the floor and it’s not just a hairball…, or your dog becomes suddenly weak, lethargic, uninterested in eating breakfast which is unusual behavior.

Or the stable manager calls to tell you your horse got hurt or seems sick, asking you what you want to do…

Imagine how fantastic it would feel if you could simply ask them what happened?  How do they feel?  Where do they hurt?  What do they need to feel better?

Maybe they just need comforting, a way to talk about what’s bothering them.

Maybe your cat says not to worry, they tried to snack on your dirty sock but they threw it up and now they feel fine and they won’t do that again.

Or on the other hand, maybe your cat says they feel terrible, have a bad headache, and are in pain… they need help.

Your dog tells you they feel depressed because they had a bad dream, and could they tell you about it please?

Then they happily eat their breakfast and all is well.

Or your horse says, I got in a race with my pasture mate and I slide and fell down, banging my hip on a rock.  I’m shaken up, bruised, and a bit stiff, but I’m okay, nothing broken.

Learning animal communication is a GAME Changer for pet caretakers.

Being able to talk to animals is your SUPERPOWER!!

3. Instantly know if they need to see a vet, or if something else is bothering them

For example… your dog says I feel horrible, I think I had a stroke, I feel nauseated.  I’ve been feeling bad for a few days or months now… I need help, something’s not right.

Your cat tells you I can feel a pressure growing inside my head, I can’t see out of one eye, and the pain is becoming more than I can bear.

Your horse explains that they can’t put weight on one foot because they think something is broken inside, and that the pain radiates up their shoulder into their neck… It happened yesterday when they stepped wrong and fell.

When your pet finally has a way to tell you what’s really wrong, what makes them feel better and what makes it worse, you can partner up and be their best most trusted friend and ally.

You’ll know when it’s time to call the vet and if it’s an emergency, or not.

You’ll have great information to give the vet to help them figure out and focus in on what’s actually wrong… and you’ll know when the problem isn’t something a vet can solve.

Imagine how empowering it is when the two of you can finally speak the same language.

4. Feel more confident, connected and happy, completely at ease even if you are highly sensitive and empathic

Highly sensitive empaths often feel overwhelmed by the world around them.  You pick up too much information, feel drained, and often shut down your intuitive gifts and abilities entirely.

When you know how to connect with the world around you in a healthy way, then everything changes.

You feel happier, less stressed, calmer and more at ease than ever before.

Learning animal communication can teach you how to do exactly that because animals are also highly sensitive, and empathic.

They are teachers, healers, angels and guides, and when you can recognize, respect and revere them for who they truly are, they make you a better, healthier, more confident person.

5. Discover your life’s purpose and your pet’s purpose, so you can enjoy fulfilling them together

Your animal is in your life for a reason.

They have a purpose.

And you do too.

Communicating with animals helps you find that purpose, share it, and express it.

To live it, achieve it, and feel fantastic fulfilling it together.

‘Nuff said.

6. Become an excellent pet caretaker and guardian, someone your pet can trust implicitly

How can you be an excellent animal caretaker if you don’t speak their language?

That’s like being a foster parent with a child that only speaks a foreign language that you don’t know.

How can you understand each other?

How can they tell you if they are struggling or have a problem or question, or feel confused about something?

Even worse, how can they get help if they don’t feel well, get hurt or are sick?

connection with animals

What if you’re feeding them foods or treats that make them feel sick because they aren’t right for them?

What if the laundry detergent you use gives them headaches?

Or the litter in the litter box is toxic, clogging their sinuses and lungs?  Or it’s too deep, or not deep enough?

What if the saddle or bit doesn’t fit them well, or it’s hitting them in the wrong place… or what if the farrier did a bad job of shoeing them and now they’re about to go lame…  and they have no way of telling you?

Your animal needs to be able to trust you and know you’ll listen to them, that their needs and what they think and feel is important to you.

7. Be prepared when it’s their time to cross over, and be able to ease their passing

One of the most dreaded events in any animal lovers life is the day when it’s time for them to make their transition.

Did you know that animal lovers often grieve the loss of their pets longer and harder than they do losing human friends or family?  It’s true.

What if instead you could talk to them about how they feel, what they need and help prepare properly for their passing?

What if you could experience peace knowing you took the right action at the right time, honoring their wishes.

You would avoid the guilt or worry that you failed them somehow…

And without the added stress, worry, dread, or guilt you could really be there for them.  You wouldn’t add to their pain.

You could love them in the best possible way when they need your help the most.

Easing their passing when it’s time, knowing when and how they want to leave, is one of the most priceless gifts you’ll ever experience.

8. Reconnect and communicate with them after they’ve made their transition

Animals are spiritual beings having physical animal body experiences, just like humans are spiritual beings having human physical experiences.

When we leave our bodies, it’s because it’s time to go home now, back to Source.

It’s the same with animals. Their Spirit continues after they leave their body.

When you know how to communicate with animals, you can connect with both animals that are alive in their physical body, and also with animal Spirits that have crossed over.

Many people want to learn to communicate with animals because they are looking for a way to hear from their pet in the animal afterlife.

Even more wonderful and exciting? Connecting with a loved pet who has transitioned is just as easy as communicating with one that is alive in their body!

world of animal communication

9. Be able to help lost animals find their way home

Animals often go missing or on an adventure away from home.  I think of these excursions as “walk abouts”.

Sometimes they are exploring their territory, sometimes they feel the “call of the wild” and are doing what the Native Americans would call a Vision Quest as part of their journey.

Sometimes they escape out the door when you’re not looking, get off leash, or they take off to parts unknown due to fright or panic or…

And yes, many animals get lost every day.

Some make their way home safely after a few hours of freedom.

Some are caught and rescued, put in shelters or taken to vets as we the people try to find out where they belong and get them home.

And some never make it home.

Beyond putting up the typical Missing Pet posters, flyers, and notices in the neighborhood, what else can you do to help them make it back to you healthy, safe and alive in one piece?

learn animal communication 4

How do you know if they are still alive or have met misadventures and are no longer in their body?

When you learn animal communication you can simply ask them, things like:

“Where are you?”  “When are you coming home?”  “So you remember how to get home or are you so far away you need me to come get you?”  “Are you hurt?”

You can also communicate with the animals in the neighborhood.

Have they seen your pet?  Ask them to tell your pet to come home now.

They can help too.

10. Ease shelter, rescued, foster and abused animals confusion, pain and suffering and help them recover, finding their forever homes

7.4 million animals wound up in shelters in 2017.  I expect the numbers have gone up since then.  Of those, 2.6 million lost their lives.

In addition to losing their homes, their friends, their families, many were abused.

Some found new homes and lives, and some have done well although many of them had a hard time adjusting and healing, regrouping and bonding.

But many have not found their forever homes.  They may have behavior or health problems that make it hard for them to be adopted.

Unless their new guardian knows how to deal successfully with the behaviors or are able to help them heal, then often they are returned to the system like orphans in our foster care system.  Over and over again.

They felt lost, abandoned, afraid, and rejected. These animals were grieving, sick and injured.

They had no compassionate guidance to help them, no one they could trust, and no chance to tell their story to someone who could hear them and help them heal and regroup and move forward in their life.

For those on death row, nobody prepared them to die either.

This is so tragic. This hurts my heart. I know it does yours too.

We can help these animals by communicating with them!

You can help them heal, help them find themselves again, change their bad behaviors, encourage them to successfully bond with their new people, and go on to fulfill their purpose.

And when we do this right, animals and people can take a big breath of relief, we feel safe together and more connected.

Learning advanced communication techniques and healing helps animals who have lost their homes or been injured, rejected, neglected, abandoned, left behind, abused or worse.

I taught a really good introduction to the topic along with many wonderful healing techniques you can use in the Advanced Animal Talk Mastery Course and we’ve gone much deeper on this topic too in Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club Heart Wisdom Masterclasses

11. Have WAY more fun in your life

learn animal communication 3

Developing Your Intuition the Right Way

Developing intuition takes a willingness to be still

What is intuition…

…and how does ‘listening to your gut’ lead you to the truth?

Developing your intuition is complex… and yet simple at the same time. Over the years I’ve learned to listen carefully to the animals in my life.

They’ve taught me invaluable lessons because they’re so closely connected to the Source – aka, “source” or “the Universe” – and have revealed things about my understanding of truth.

Whether you find moments of truth in a movie script, a conversation with a life-long friend, or a chance encounter at the grocery store, it’s important to listen to your gut and take the underlying message seriously…

noun

    1. the ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning.
    2. a thing that one knows or considers likely from instinctive feeling rather than conscious reasoning.

Our intuition is often discounted when we’re building relationships or trying to solve problems, but there’s a reason people trust “gut instincts”…

They’re the primal instinct our pets follow, and it’s wise for us to learn to follow their lead.

5 Simple Steps To Developing Intuition

Whether you follow a Christian doctrine, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, or any of the myriad faiths, the underpinnings are anchored in a belief that there’s an “Other” guiding us.  There is accessible knowledge all around us that we can tap into, and it’s based on using our intuition that helps us live a fulfilling life.

So, how do we nurture our intuition?

1. Center yourself and get quiet.

Follow your breath, in and out, and relax more with every breath cycle.

To do this well, it’s helpful to stand tall and balanced, but also acceptable to be seated.

Close your eyes.

Feel the ground beneath your feet, the energies of the Earth. Be fully present, right here, right now, nothing added.

Let everything else go.

2. Connect with your heart.

Imagine that your heart has a direct connection with the Truth, and trust that this is so.

3. Connect with your gut.

Did you know that your gut possesses neural cells and is, in fact, your first brain?

Neural cells originated in the gut first when your body was being formed in the womb, then a portion of these cells split off and began to form your spinal cord.

They formed your heart, which is also lined with neural cells, then eventually became your head brain.

4. Connect with the idea, concept, or object you are curious about.

Ask your question.

Then…invite your body to either Lean In, meaning…

    • I want more of that
    • I’m drawn to that, it’s okay to go there
    • It feels true

Or, Pull Back meaning…

    • That’s not good for me
    • I don’t want that, don’t go there
    • Something is wrong or untrue

developing intuition 2

5. Wait for your intuition to kick in.

Simply, your gut will signal you with its answer.

Be patient. Receiving your answer can take as long as a second or several minutes, depending on your ability to be fully present and clear in your request, and how much practice you have.

Developing your intuition takes practice

As with most healing, it’s important that you take the time to heal yourself before you attempt to heal the animals in your life.

Don’t forget, sometimes, they are trying to send you healing signals and you aren’t receptive to them.

That’s when developing intuition – learning to be present in your experiences and be open to the life force around you – give you insight.

If you’d like to explore your abilities to trust your intuition, or develop the strength you already possess to understand the messages animals are trying to communicate, maybe it’s time to consult an animal communicator…

Or, perhaps it’s time to tap into the abilities you have, just waiting to be explored.

What Are Chakras, and How They Help Heal You and Your Pet

What are chakras, and how do they help heal you and your pet?

What are chakras and why is it important for an animal lover to understand them?

I’ve been studying energy imbalances and mastering alternative healing therapies since the 1980s. My journey took me through Neuro Linguistic Programming, meditation, to the Lionheart Institute in the 1990’s, which helped transform my understanding of healing myself and people.

That added lots of great alternative healing techniques to my healing toolkit that I can now use both for myself as well as apply to my client’s animals as well as their people.

And I’ve taught you about the Human Animal BodyMind Connection – the deeper energy reflections, connections, and links between you and your pets.

Understanding what chakras are and how to work with them is an important piece of the health puzzle for people and pets.

Animals are spiritual beings having animal experiences, just like humans are spiritual beings having human experiences.

Our pets also mirror us – our emotional and physical being. If we suffer, they likewise suffer alongside us. They just can’t tell us about their suffering out loud like a fellow human friend could.

They do speak though, in their own way. That’s because they communicate through their own energetic, telepathic language which you can learn through the Heart Wisdom methods taught in The Heart School of Animal Communication.

Taking time to learn about balancing and connecting your chakras will open you up to the possibilities of meaningful communication with your pet AND accelerate the connection between you

Ultimately, you’ll achieve better health, understanding, and well-being, for both of you.

Chakras are energy centers

To begin with, think of chakras as energy centers in your body.

They are the colorful conduits for energy flowing through your body from the universal life energy field

Eastern traditions call this energy prana or the Ch’i.

The energy taken and metabolized through each chakra is sent to the parts of the body located in the major nerve plexus areas closest to each part.

If your chakras aren’t functioning properly, then this intake of energy is disturbed…

…the body organs and systems served by that chakra will not get the supplies, nurturing, and maintenance they need.

And, if this dysfunction continues, your organs, joints, and muscles will be disrupted.

That part of your body will weaken – including its immune defenses – and, eventually, disease will manifest.

Picture the energy of your chakras as a beautiful braided rope

I’ll explain the seven major chakras in a moment, but first, let me take you through an exercise my students follow as they begin their learning journey about their own chakras.

Close your eyes and imagine a funnel. The wider opening is on the outside of your body, about six inches around, an inch from your body. The small tip fits inside your body near your spine.

There is a vertical power current going through the centerline of the body.

It is the large channel of energy into which all the chakras connect…in that central power current each color of your seven chakras – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet – is woven together, like a rope made of beautiful pulsating light of all colors.

what are chakras 2

Now you are beginning to visualize your chakras…

Remember that all the colors of the rainbow have powerful healing frequencies that affect your physical organs, systems, glands, emotions and mind, as well as your spirit.

Certain colors can heal, refresh and regenerate…, and other colors can disrupt.

What’s your favorite color?

Notice which colors you are most drawn to.  And which you feel uncomfortable with.

Where do the colors resonate in your body?

There are 7 major chakras plus minor chakras for humans

We have seven major chakras in our body – and 21 minor chakras – all correlating to specific parts of our bodies:

  • Root Chakra – Fire Engine Red. It’s located between your legs at the base of your torso. The energy it delivers affects your will to live, your vitality.
  • Sacral Chakra – Juicy Orange. This is our sexual and creative chakra, sending energy to our reproductive organs and pleasure centers.
  • Solar Plexus Chakra – Yellow. This chakra supplies energy to the stomach, liver, gall bladder, pancreas, spleen, and nervous system.
  • Heart Chakra – Green. Brings energy to our heart, circulatory system, vagus nerve, thymus, and upper back.
  • Throat Chakra – Blue. It brings energy to the thyroid, the bronchi, lungs, and alimentary canal.
  • Third Eye Chakra – Indigo. Supplies energy to the pituitary, lower brain, left eye, ears, nose, and nervous system.
  • Crown Chakra – Violet/Lavender. Supplying energy to the upper brain and right eye.

Each chakra is responsible for complex emotional processes – a sense of connection, stability, belonging, the ability to make rational or brave decisions, communicate authentically, to give or receive love.

For example, the 3rd Chakra – or Solar Plexus Chakra is associated with our intuition, who we are in the universe, how we connect to others…and how we take care of ourselves.

If any of your chakras are out of balance, your emotional and/or physical health will also be imbalanced.

What are chakras to your pet?

Your pets are intuitive creatures with their own energy field, their own chakras. Therefore, they have the ability to perceive the energy coming from you.

A dysfunction in your chakra can easily become one in theirs, and vice versa.

Keep in mind, too, that they may also have come to you with past trauma they’ve been masking in order to survive.

Their past, as much as their present with you, can have a significant negative impact on their chakras as well as yours.

This can result in serious illness – cancers, painful skin disease, digestive issues – or bad behaviors like leash reactivity, nipping, chewing, messing on furniture, or in closets.

The point is, good pets can do bad things when they’re feeling sick or anxious.

via GIPHY

That’s why it’s so important to identify the health of your own chakra before trying to share a healing conversation with your cat, dog, horse…

You can learn how to identity, strengthen, or even reset your chakras in our masterclass. It requires dedication, quiet contemplation, and a willingness to look inward.

You have to allow yourself to see your weaknesses for what they are…and the opportunity to grow stronger.

Your pet can be brought along on this journey with you. In our next article, we’ll explore more about pet chakras and the ways you can balance and heal them.

If you’d like help balancing out your or your pet’s chakras, contact a professional pet communicator and healer

Animal Chakras Are a Key to Unlocking Health & Well-Being

Balancing Animal Chakras are a Significant Key to Unlocking Greater Health & Well-Being

Is your animal is behaving badly?

Maybe your cat has started using the front hall closet (or your pillow) as a bathroom. Or your dog is suddenly pulling at the leash and snarling at other dogs. Your horse seems to have forgotten how to trailer and spooks at everything.

These bad behaviors sometimes seem to come out of nowhere.

But did they…?

Are they just being bad animals? Or… are they good animals going through something bad?

Animal chakras, just like human ones, can have a huge impact on a pet’s well-being – mentally and physically. In fact, for pets – and humans – the two states are intertwined.

via GIPHY

Do you understand chakras, and how they affect your pet’s sense of well-being?

What are chakras?

We’ve touched on this before…

Chakras are the conduit for energy flowing from the universal life energy field. Eastern traditions call it prana or the Ch’i.

This energy is metabolized through each chakra, and sent to the parts of the body located in the major nerve plexus areas closest to that body part.

And, if your chakras – or your pet’s – aren’t functioning properly, this intake of energy is disturbed.

What does this look like?

For humans, our lives seem to take a turn for the worse. We feel ‘off’ and frustrated, physically ill, depressed, stuck in the mud. Our joints hurt, we suffer back pain, headaches…

Animals experience these same challenges, but they don’t have words to describe them…, unless you know how to communicate with animals, or hire a professional animal communicator to help translate for you.

They’ll be able to decode the messages your pets are trying to broadcast.  Many (but not all) are able to also read their chakras AND balance them.

The best communicators also trained in advanced healing and they will be able to help you balance all the chakras – both yours and your animals.

The 7 major chakras

Animals and humans have the same basic set of chakras… and animals have their own, unique extra chakra. We’ll get to that in a moment.

First, let’s review the seven major chakras we share with our animal companions:

animal chakra 4

  • Root Chakra – Fire engine red. It supplies energy to the spinal column, adrenals, and kidneys.
  • Sacral Chakra – Juicy Orange. Our sexual and creative chakra, sending energy to our reproductive organs and pleasure centers.
  • Solar Plexus Chakra – Lemon or Sunshine Yellow. This chakra resides in your solar plexus and supplies energy to the stomach, liver, gall bladder, pancreas, spleen, and nervous system.
  • Heart Chakra – Emerald Green. Centered on love and will, this chakra brings energy to our heart, circulatory system, vagus nerve, thymus, and upper back.
  • Throat Chakra – Sky Blue. Located at the front and back of your throat, embodying self-expression, it brings energy to the thyroid, the bronchi, lungs, and alimentary canal.
  • Third Eye Chakra – Indigo. Associated with vision and understanding, it’s located on the forehead and the back of the head. It supplies energy to the pituitary, lower brain, left eye, ears, nose, and nervous system.
  • Crown Chakra – Violet/Lavender. As the name suggests, the 7th Chakra can be found on the top of your head and is associated with the experience of Divine Guidance or knowing. It supplies energy to the upper brain and right eye.

Animals have an extra one unique to them called the Brachial Chakra

Animals have their own special chakra that humans don’t have, and it’s important to be mindful of it…

  • The Brachial Chakra – located on either side of the body, in the shoulder area.

This is the main energy center in all animals and links directly to all the other chakras.

Here’s the thing:  This chakra is the center that relates to animal-human interaction.

TIP:  Any healing with animal chakras should always begin at this Chakra.

Animals that have a strong, healthy link with their human companions usually have a vibrant Brachial Chakra.

It’s the center where the animal-human bond is formed and carried.

If an animal is exhibiting poor behavior or, worse yet, is becoming physically ill, an exploration of their chakra will guide you to the source of their pain.

It might be coming from scars from their past, a manifestation of the pain they see in you, or a shift in their sense of security.

When an animal’s behavior becomes disruptive and completely out of character, it’s important to visit a veterinarian to be sure your pet isn’t battling an illness like an infection, poisoning or some blockage in their intestines.

Consulting with an expert pet communicator – or having the skills to converse with your pet yourself – is just as important.

Your pet may be trying to tell you something

I know, personally, that my cat sent me messages when I was struggling in an unhappy marriage. Her bad behaviors stopped when I took the time to reassure her that my problems were not hers to solve… and rebalanced our chakras together.

Why Choose A Raw Cat Food Diet?

What are you feeding your cat?

With the impressive and alarming amount of cat food recalls that have been happening over the past couple of years, it is easy to see why so many people are concerned with commercial cat food manufacturers.

Many cat owners are switching to a raw cat food diet for their beloved furry friends, and it is easy to see the many benefits of this new trendy diet in the lives of pets and pet owners.

via GIPHY

Here are five of the top reasons why choosing a natural cat diet is becoming such a popular choice.

1. You will get a healthy cat through proper diet.

If you have been looking for a way to cut vet bills in half, try to get a healthy cat through proper diet and exercise. A healthier diet helps boost pets’ immune systems, and can help reverse damage that has already been done. It clears out toxins that have built up through years of poor diet. With the toxins cleared, your cat’s body will feel better and be more youthful than ever.

2. Your cat will live longer.

Science has proven that a raw cat food diet, or even a natural cat diet, will extend the life of your feline friend significantly. If you want your fuzzy friend to live longer, it is best to start stocking up on quality foods.

raw cat food 3

3. Cats are obligate carnivores.

They are designed to eat raw meat and not eat food like commercial cat food. It is just not natural for cats to eat cooked food, or over-processed food. When cats eat commercial cat food, it does not digest well, nor does it have the nutrition that they need in order to live a long, healthy, and happy life.

4. Commercial cat food also has ingredients that you cannot trust.

It is very easy to see how many cat food companies have been incorporating subpar and cheap filler ingredients into their food. Much, including soy, wheat, and corn, is actually detrimental for a cat’s health. Worse still, many of the pet food brands out on the market use ingredients that are unhealthy for consumption, including euthanized carcasses of diseased animals and chemical proteins. A natural cat diet would never include any of these!

5. A raw cat food diet will help prevent gingivitis in cats.

The smaller chewable bones help scrub the cats teeth and gums. Multiple studies back up this oral health side effect of a proper cat diet. Not having to worry about your cat’s teeth means that you will be able to rest assured that your pet will have the best that life has to offer in terms of quality of life.

There is a lot of danger in feeding a cat poor cat food, and the truth is only starting to come out right now. Now is the time that you start looking into a natural diet for your favorite companion.

3 Tips to Help You Choose the Right Dog

Are you thinking about getting a puppy, or adopting a new dog?

It’s so important to choose the right dog for your life. They can either become your best friend or your worst nightmare.

Sadly, 3.3 million dogs enter shelters every year and only 1.6 million are adopted. The rest either live out their days in shelters, or they are euthanized…

Even sound, healthy, adoptable pets have their life cut short because they were either surrendered or abandoned by their owners.

That’s why doing your research – learning all you can about dogs – before you adopt or purchase your new companion is the kindest and smartest thing to do.

via GIPHY

Here are three tips to help you choose the right dog.

You will become your dog’s whole life when you bring them home. It’s a big responsibility to care for something that will be completely reliant on you for their health and well-being for their whole life.

Before you make the commitment, follow these three steps.

1. Read about the breeds.

It’s tempting – especially if you have children – to go to a pet store or a shelter on a Saturday afternoon and pick out the most adorable dog you see.

Beware!  Impulse-buying rarely works out, for you or the dog.

Even if you’re adopting a shelter dog, make sure you know about the breed’s personality, its needs and quirks – and how they fit with yours.

For example, if your lifestyle is:

  • Very active: Labrador Retrievers, Rottweilers, and Border Collies would make a great companion.
  • Have small children: Saint Bernards and Labradors are famous for being family dogs, but did you know short-haired dogs like Boxers and Beagles are also very kid-friendly?
  • Have allergies: Bichons, Poodles, Portuguese Water Dogs, and Schnauzers don’t shed and have less dander than most breeds, making it easier on your sinuses and house cleaning chores.

Be realistic about the time you’ll have to train your new furry friend… and whether or not you have the skills to do it yourself. Some breeds are more eager to please than others.

Border Collies, for example, are extremely receptive to training. However, since they’re working dogs the training needs to be intense and engaging both mentally and physically…

Very smart high energy working dogs can be a delight when focused properly, but when they’re bored they can be very challenging to have around.

It can be fun to read up on dog breeds – you might even discover a breed you’d never heard of or didn’t realize would be the perfect fit for you

2. Write a job description for your dog.

choose the right dog 3

That’s right. It might sound like a strange thing to do… but take the time to write down why you want a dog in your life and what you expect them to do for you.

Now that you know about various breeds, their strengths, and weaknesses, make a decision about what a day in the life of you and your dog will look like… and then pick the best match.

For example:

  • I want my dog to curl up on the sofa with me while I read.
  • I want my dog to learn loads of tricks to show off to my friends.
  • I want my dog to keep me company on my trail runs or hikes.
  • I want my dog to guard my house and my family.
  • I want my dog to be a furry nanny to my child.
  • I want my dog to go with me everywhere as a constant companion.
  • I want my dog to be a therapy dog bringing comfort and love to me and others.
  • I want my dog to…

There are countless “jobs” your dog can do for you…but you’ll be
setting them and yourself up for failure if you’re not clear about your expectations.

And if you don’t know what you want, then you won’t know how to choose the right breed for the job!

3. Interview your dog first.

That may sound just as strange as writing a job description, but it’s a step you really shouldn’t skip.

In order to choose the right dog, it’s so important to spend time with them before you take them home.

If you’re adopting a shelter dog, that will mean going for a few visits so you two can spend time together and interact – whether that means cuddling, playing fetch, or going for a brisk walk.

If you’re buying a puppy from a breeder you’ll know much more about the pedigree and personality of your future furbaby, but at least one meeting so you can share your energy together will be helpful.

An unplanned meeting with the breeder is also a great idea, so you can see more of the truth about the breeder and how they handle their dogs that they may not want you to know.

If you’re able, have a conversation with your pet to make sure you two will be a good fit. They have a great deal to say if you ask the right questions and know how to listen to their answers.

If you don’t know how to communicate with animals, then 1) learn how now because knowing how to talk with your dog makes all the difference in the world in how quickly you bond and understand each other, and will help you work through problems together too, and/or 2) hire a professional animal communicator to do it for you.

Who knows, maybe they don’t want the job…

Or, maybe they don’t feel a purpose with you.

If that’s the case, then they’re the wrong dog.

choose the right dog 2

Be careful to choose the right dog: it’s a lifetime commitment for both of you.

A dog can bring endless joy into their human’s life. And their humans have to understand that once they’ve made that commitment, they will become their dog’s whole world.

Most dogs will live an average of ten years. Some large breeds have a shorter life, but there are small breeds that can reasonably be expected to be a treasured member of your family for 20+ years. Mixed breed dogs tend to live longer than purebreds, but it’s difficult for owners to predict…

Do your best to avoid getting swept up in the darling appeal of a cute furry face, a sweetly lolling tongue, and a curious wet nose at your local pet store.

Pet store animals are typically gotten through unscrupulous breeders and puppy mills out to make a buck.  The dogs are often abused, kept in tiny cages, force bred, and are in ill health.  They can be very malnourished.

Puppy mill dogs are often genetically flawed, and are untrained as well as unsocialized. If you get one of these dogs, then you encourage them to continue hurting more and more dogs.  And you’ll be facing the daunting task of training to overcome many problems healthy, naturally raised puppies won’t have.

If you’re thinking about adding a dog to your family – whether that family is you and a cat or a loud household full of kids – do yourself, and your future dog, a kindness.  Do your research.  You’ll be glad you did!
