Believe It or Not, Animals See Ghosts…

Bet you didn’t know that I’m a Ghost Buster…  It’s true!

Hi, I’m Val Heart, the Real Dr Doolittle. I didn’t start out to be a ghost buster, and I don’t talk about it much but I’ve done a lot of work with entities with great results. Because my unique specialty is solving problems with pets using the Heart Wisdom System, as you will soon see, doing this critically important work sometimes takes me to many interesting, unexpected and fascinating places…

Have you ever noticed your animal staring off into space like they’re watching something you can’t see? Or reacting oddly to a certain area for no known reason?  Barking at nothing?  Spooking at something you can’t detect?

That’s because, as a matter of fact, animals see ghosts.

It’s true.  They can sense, feel and see ‘dead people’.

I’m always amazed and intrigued when a consultation takes a spooky turn and I find myself communicating with a deceased loved one or a lost soul who can’t find their way home. Animals see ghosts and they are so glad when they can tell us about it, and when we can help them.

via GIPHY

For instance, one German Shepherd told me that there was a young man’s spirit floating through the walls at odd times and it was very scary for him.

The dog was trying his best to protect his person but all the spirit did was laugh at him.

His person of course thought her beloved dog had lost his mind!  He was viciously attacking and reacting to something she could not see or sense.

Once the dog told us his story, I shifted my focus to address the spirit and we found a way to help the lost ghost go home. Once he left, the dog returned to the loving, happy furrkid he truly was and all was well again.

A dressage horse told me that there was a Native American Indian stationed in the far corner of his practice arena.

animals see ghosts 2

He said the Indian Spirit had warned him away from that area. Nothing his rider did changed his mind about it, and that was that.

In order to solve this perplexing problem, I connected with the Indian who turned out to be a Guardian of the ancient sacred burial grounds that happened to be located on this property.  When I told my client what I’d discovered, she confirmed that in fact, that was true.

We found a way to respectfully negotiate an agreement so that the horses could go into that area for their exercise and practice, and all was well.

When you discover how to hear and understand your animals yourself, a whole new amazing world opens up.

And it’s tons of fun and not really scary at all, I promise.

If you enjoyed this, you’ll love my The Real Dr Doolittle Show interview with author and fellow animal lover Olga Horvat.  We discussed her remarkable “spooky” true story which she wrote about in her book, Paranormal Pooch.  Click the link to go there now!

Helpful Tips: 8 Ways to Focus Your Mind

8 ways to focus your wandering mind

Do you know the difference between ‘hearing’ and ‘listening’?

Hearing is simply recognizing and identifying a sound. Listening requires making an effort to understand the meaning of the sounds you’re hearing.

Just like people, pets always know when you’re really listening… or when you’ve tuned them out.

If you don’t know how to focus your mind you’ll miss out on their messages and opportunities to connect, heal, evolve and grow.

Communicating with pets takes patience, training, and an ability to blank out everything around you.

via GIPHY

Here are 8 tips that will help you focus your mind…

Losing focus happens to the best of us…

It’s true, my mind will wander sometimes. I’ll be having a conversation with a friend or an animal when I suddenly realize I have no idea what they just said. I had drifted off daydreaming.

Maybe you’ve fallen asleep while meditating or struggled to pay attention while your boss explained a new procedure at work.

It’s natural to have these lapses in concentration, in particular if you’re already feeling under the weather, or just tired in general. But there are ways to tackle your wandering tendencies. Here is how to focus your mind.

1.  Add a deliberate distraction

While there isn’t a consensus on the matter, there’s a growing body of research stating that having some noise in the background improves your powers of concentration.

Whether it’s instrumental music or ‘white noise’, introducing a planned distraction into your atmosphere actually helps you focus.

2. Go ahead and daydream

Pause to allow thoughts and feelings to surface so you can process them. Even if it’s completely unrelated to what you were trying to do, this can invigorate your focus when you return to the task.

Don’t think of it as “wandering away” from the task at hand…treat it as time to regroup.

Pro Tip: When communicating with animals, you might need time for the messages to percolate through your subconscious mind’s filter until it’s clear and ready for your attention.

focus your mind 2

3. Identify and eliminate stressors

This is just a good life tip for everyone. If you want to know how to focus your mind, give it a clear space in which to do its best work.

Try some mental imaging and put each concern or problem at a distance, but someplace accessible so you can look at it again later. Mentally put the distractions…

  • in a drawer or bucket
  • on a boat out on the water while you sit on the shore
  • on a shelf in another room

Don’t worry, you are not throwing your problems away! Instead, you are just tucking them out of sight so you can devote your energy to the task at hand.

4. Grab a cuppa coffee

Not surprisingly, researchers have found a link between caffeine and improved cognition. Just be careful, because too much of this stimulant, which produces dopamine in your system, can interrupt your sleep and actually make you too jittery to be attentive.

There are other options if coffee is not your thing! Try a square of dark chocolate for a boost of serotonin and a dose of antioxidants.

Even the act of making yourself a cup of coffee or getting a piece of chocolate gets your body moving and creates a planned distraction to give your mind a break.

5. Doodle

It might look and feel like a waste of time, but studies have proven that taking a minute or two and doodling improves focus. Doing so allows thoughts to come together.

Keep it simple: shapes, patterns, and designs work best!

Pro Tip: When you’re communicating with animals, imagine giving them the pen and let them doodle through you. This could allow their messages to pop through the images you’re doodling on the paper while you idly doodle through your thoughts.

6. Breathe and count

focus your mind 3

Whether you follow the Buddhist practice of “Anapanasati” or another technique of mindful breathing, you’ll find clarity in taking time to breathe with intention.

Start simply: Slowly inhale (1,2,3) then hold (1,2) and slowly exhale (3,2,1). Repeat this pattern until you feel the cleansing sensation in your mind.

Beyond the spiritual benefits of grounding yourself through breathing, science tells us your brain is getting a much-needed boost of oxygenated blood. It’s hard to know how to focus your mind when it’s running low on fuel…

7. Monitor your wandering

Be gentle with yourself when you realize your mind is wandering. That being said, make an effort to bring it back to the task as soon as you realize you’re drifting.

Try acting as a third-party observer when your mind wanders off. Make a mental note of it like you’d notice your kitten suddenly chasing a butterfly or your dog picking up a scent to pursue.

With practice, you’ll discover that you catch yourself more quickly and get yourself back on track more quickly, too.

8. Chew gum

Believe it or not, chewing gum can increase your attention span and make you more alert.

Are you in a stressful environment?

Chewing spearmint gum has been shown to relieve the stress that can cause your mind to wander.

The Bottom Line on the Power of Focusing

Whether you’re having a meaningful conversation with another person or with your pets, they deserve your full and undivided attention.

When communicating with animals it’s especially important to maintain your focus. Some of their intuitive, telepathic messages can be subtle and fleeting impressions.

You don’t want to miss them so pay attention, breathe, go still, connect and FOCUS.

They could be important clues to the pet’s health or mental well-being or a message about your health and well-being.

Play around with these different strategies and find the ones that work best for you.

Like any muscle in your body, flex your mental muscles to build up their strength and resilience…then you’ll be ready to explore meaningful conversations with your pets.

Save Our Oceans For Our Children: Babysit Baby Green Sea Turtles On The Beach

By Krista Dunlop, PADI Divemaster (207237) http://www.underwaterodyssey.ca

On Clearwater Beach, Florida, I stroll with my ankles knee deep in water under the glistening stars and listen to the waves rushing up onto me tugging at me like small children trying to express their emotional pain.

The green sea turtles need help…

Why are you not listening to us?

Why are you not hearing our cries?

With my bottle of water, small beach chair, and granola bar in hand, suddenly from out of the darkness through the foaming ocean waves, emerges a huge green sea turtle.

Cautiously strolling up high onto the beach, where every year hundreds of green sea turtles climb on shore to dig nests and lay their eggs.

Her shell is glistening in the moonlight, and as she moves slowly and with purpose, the female begins to build her nest for her young a deep hole in the soft white sand, twice as big as herself and about three feet deep.

As I lingered back to honour this mystical moment, the green sea turtle mother carefully pushes her egg tube into the hole and out plops eggs like wet ping-pong balls until about 100 eggs lay clustered.

As her final show of love and protection before departing, she flaps her flippers to cover the eggs with sand to protect them from predators and leaves her young to fend for themselves.

Having finished with her motherly duties, the tired green sea turtle slowly crawls back to the ocean, where Mother Nature’s blanket of waves allow her to rest and simply enjoy her ride back into the depths of the ocean in which she came from.

As I settle in my beach chair beside the nest, I treasure the mid-night hours staring up at the twinkling stars and standing guard for these unborn sea turtles.

For the next two months, each evening until the early morning hours I sit beside them under the stars when one night I finally hear the scratching sound from the nest.

It was time the little baby green sea turtles have worked as a team, and made their way to the surface of the sand to begin their long journey towards the brightest horizon.

As I watch the little ones scurry with enthusiasm towards the ocean, the moment of conflicting emotions sets in for me to have to deal with once again.

Ones of happiness for having had the privilege to be part of Mother Nature’s circle of life … and of sadness and guilt, for what seems to be unfairly knowing that the majority of these young green sea turtles will be eaten by sharks and other carnivorous fishes during their long hard journey.

As I stroll back home in the early morning hours I think to myself yes, maybe I do think Mother Nature can be cruel at times and I don’t understand her reasoning for how and why she does things the way she does.

But, what I do know is these two months of standing guard over these beautiful little creatures was one of the most beautiful experiences in my life and I am proud to have been part of helping at least one little turtle make it through their long journey  and possibly to have helped one female turtle to return one day to this very same spot to lay her eggs and begin Mother Nature’s circle of life once again.

For the Ocean and our future children.

Animal Communication and Telepathy: Mental Video Technique to Communicate With Animals

Telepathy and animal communication go together like birds of a feather!

Have you ever wished you were telepathic?

You might have been told that telepathy doesn’t exist except in stories, but that’s not true.

In fact, you were born with the intuitive ability to communicate with others telepathically.  You may have forgotten how, most of us do as we grow older. But that doesn’t mean you can’t.

With a little focus and the right techniques to awaken your intuition and senses, you can share information heart to heart, mind to mind.

Imagine having amazing, life changing experience.  An epiphany moment, profound and spectacular, beyond exciting!

Then, you could connect with someone else and share it with them in a way that they could experience like you did, complete with all the feelings, sensations, sounds, smells and images and more?

Amazing, right?

Telepathic interspecies communication is like that.

You remember an experience and then offer it to someone else, from your heart to their heart, from your mind to their mind. Then, they can experience it almost as if they had been there, too.

Is this possible? You bet it is.

I know it’s true because I do it all the time and I teach my students and clients how too.

And even better, you’re already doing it.

What is telepathy?

Telepathy is a combination of 2 words, “tele” meaning to hear over a distance like telephone.  And “-pathy” meaning to feel someone else’s feelings over a distance.

Emotions, or feelings, are energy in motion.

So when you tap into and are able to feel energy, you can feel emotions.

When you switch on your intuitive ability to hear over a distance, voila!

You’re now using your telepathic abilities.

It’s simple, once you know how.

Have you ever looked across a crowded space and saw someone with an immediate impression or knowing?

You know they feel sad or angry or are grieving, but you may not know how you know that.

How do mothers know when their kids are in getting into trouble, or are in danger?

The proverbial eyes in the back of their head when they know what you’re doing without even looking at you?

They do.  They might not can explain it, but they know.

Yep, that’s telepathy at work.

Here’s the thing, your animals have been trying to teach you about true, heart centered telepathic communication all their lives.

They communicate telepathically and energetically all the time, and yes, they also communicate through body language and vocal expressions like we do.

Sometimes we receive their messages and when we do, the experience changes our life! And sometimes we’re just too dense (or untrained or close minded) to hear what they’re thinking or feeling.

That’s sad.

With a few simple tweaks, step by step instructions, and the right techniques, you can become connected, telepathic and aware.

What can happen when you know how to connect and communicate with animals?

One animal communication student was so excited. She told me that she and her dressage horse were now in total sync with each other.

For instance, if she thought about going out to her barn to see or work with her horse and glanced out the window to see where her mare was in pasture, her horse at that very moment would lift her head and look at her there in the window in the house.

Then, while she was still watching and before she even left the window, her mare would head off toward the barn to wait for her.

Every animal lover knows they have a special connection with the animals in their lives.

Many young children can “hear” animals talk – that is, until others convince them that animals are dumb and unable to think for themselves.

The Barrier to Fun Filled Relationships with Animals

When we limit ourselves to the accepted modes of human speech, we shut ourselves down. And, sadly, we lose an important part of ourselves – our connection with all of Life.

Learning to communicate with animals is a gift many companion animals have been trying to give us every day of their lives.

Humans have traditionally thought of themselves as separate and more intelligent (read “important”) than other Beings unlike themselves. Since “others” don’t talk, look or act like we do, then they must be inferior in some way. Until recently, this had been easy to believe about animals since they cannot speak “our language”.

However, recent studies have discovered that other species are much more intelligent than previously thought, and may surpass human intelligence in many ways. Animals use a variety of communication techniques to converse with each other.

The use of sound frequencies, scents and body language are easily observed, and researchers now know there are additional variables.

I believe that these variables are largely telepathic and energetic in nature, and that every Being is born with the ability to communicate on this level.

You read right – animals use telepathy to see what is in your mind’s eye, and feel what you are feeling.

Have you ever noticed how Fido disappears when it is time to go to the Vet or get a bath?

Or how your animal senses your moods and knows exactly what you need?

This isn’t an accident or a coincidence. When they pay attention energetically and telepathically, they always know what is going on with us.

Do you have something you have been trying to tell your animal friend?

Remember that animals can see what’s in your minds eye, your mental “monitor”.

They feel what you’re feeling.

And they hear what you think or say.

Put all three of those things together, and you have a message you can share telepathically that is clear.

Try this simple Mental Video Communication Technique:

First, get their attention.

Create a movie video in your imagination of exactly what you want them to know, complete with emotions and images and the story.

Don’t get too complicated; just concentrate on exactly what you want them to understand or do.

You’re the producer of your own video, so pay attention to the timeline, the story and bring it to life as you share it.

Connect your mind to theirs.  Open your heart.

See it.  Feel it.  Say it.

And then see what happens.

This technique is helpful in training situations, in preparing pets for changes in their lives, and in explaining what you want from them.

Of course, this is only one-way communication where you’re telling them what you know, but it is a beginning and an opening for them to communicate back to you.

Telepathy and animal communication isn’t mind control.

Many times they may need to tell you something before they can (or are willing to) comply with your wishes if you are asking them to do something for you.

Learning to communicate telepathically and share life experiences with other Beings is a priceless gift.

It allows us to better understand that we are not alone, that we are connected, and that we can help each other.

Communicating intimately with other species also enriches our own lives through the sharing of our experiences with one another.

Did you know many companion animals choose to spend their lives attempting to break through our barriers, help us heal and become reconnected with all of Life and our Divine Nature?

If you’re really serious about re-discovering your telepathic ability so you can share life’s experiences with your animal, you don’t need to wait another day. Please don’t simply accept things the way they are now.  You can re-remember how to talk with animals yourself and deepen the bond between you.

Do this one thing for yourself and your forever animal friend, and watch how it changes your life and every relationship you have.

Top 10 Products Cat Owners Need When Adopting A Cat

Before anyone feels the need to adopt any pet, it is always recommended to do your homework regarding them, including their wants and needs. No matter which pet it is, a dog or a cat, or even a guinea pig, some things will surprise you about them. Being well-prepared for when you bring that pooch or furry ball of a kitten home is always a clever thing to do, and will be less of a headache in the long run. But if you are a new pet owner and thinking about adopting a cat or a kitten and don’t know where to start, we have got you covered.

This article will help to shine a light on the 10 products that every cat owner should have in their home to make life for both you and him a lot easier.

Firstly, well done for giving your little friend a home. Secondly, let’s get going onto that list, shall we?

via GIPHY

What you need Before you Bring the Feline Home

Something to Carry or Transport Him in.

A cat crate or carrier should ideally be the first thing you purchase because you will be using it to transport him, first from the adoption center to the house, then from the house to the veterinarian for those regular check-ups. When you are looking for a good one, make sure you choose one made of sturdy material that has plenty of ventilation, like holes and little windows around it.

Using something such as a cardboard box won’t suffice because there is no ventilation in it. Eventually it will weaken and break, especially if the cat pees in it, plus he can easily claw his way out of it at some point.

Something to Feed Him and Give Him Water.

via GIPHY

A feeding bowl and water bowl are two of the most essential items you should get. Something big enough and deep enough for liquids such as water and the same for his treats.  Also get another one for wet foods, which are considered better for them and their teeth as well https://www.preventivevet.com/cats/how-much-water-cats-need-tips-for-preventing-dehydration

However, if you’ve decided to adopt a kitten, you should rather get a shallow bowl so he doesn’t end up having to dunk his head inside to reach for food. A small plate will also suffice. The ones you buy from the pet stores should be specifically for kittens, so look out for those instead. Clean these bowls thoroughly on a regular basis just as  you would wash your own dishes.

Something He Can Eat.

Of course, you need to stock up on the best types of food for him, but never overfeed him or leave too much food on his plate. Have strict guidelines for when you will feed him at the same time every day and in minimal quantities. Go for quality over quantity. Cats tend to suffer from various diseases, so always avoid giving them junk foods and stick to a healthy balanced meal. and don’t forget to always have a bowl of fresh clean water next to their food.

Products you can look for are wet cat food cans, such as organic cat foods, or dental cat treats for instance. These will help keep their teeth and gums in a healthy state. You can also invest in grain-free foods. You can get an array of different types so choose the one most suitable for him or her.

Something He Can Poo in.

Again, a necessity. A litter box is also something you should buy in terms of quality. Your product will need to be big enough for him not just for now, but he will need to fit into it comfortably when he gets older.

Also, litter boxes come in many types. For instance a self-cleaning litter box (which has become the thing for many pet owners so they can avoid having to replace the litter every few hours due to the smell) is something you could look for. Some of the best self-cleaning litter boxes have been through several cat product tests, with some of the best-advanced technology out there, so you do not need to worry when you have a busy lifestyle and need to be out and about all day.

adopting a cat 3

Something He Can Scratch.

This is one of their favorite pastimes, so why shouldn’t we indulge them? However, if you don’t want them to ruin your precious and expensive upholstery on your couches, curtains, cushions, and anything that they can get their claws into, get them something to scratch such as a scratching post or basket they can sit inside.

Some of the best products on the market allow for them to scratch it, sleep in it, eat from it, and play inside it all at once in the same item. This also acts as a toy for them which can keep them busy for hours.

Lastly, Something to Identify Them.

Cats love to roam about in and around their area.  Some of them may be well-domesticated and the curious ones need their outdoor space to explore, and just as well we should let them, with limitations of course.

Because of this, it is a good idea to get them a collar ID or get them tagged at the veterinary clinic with a chip or tag that is placed under their fur. If you opt for an ID collar, make sure it has all your vital information such as your name, address, and phone number so anyone can get hold of you in case the cat gets lost.

Be wary that the collar fits them properly.  A loose collar may get caught on things and they can’t breathe properly if the collar is too tight. If you fasten it and can put your two fingers underneath between the collar and his neck, then it is fine.

Besides this, you will need a nice big bed for them made from natural fibers. You can invest in a bunch of clever toys for them, perhaps a calming diffuser for them to feel less anxious in their new home, and the most important product to offer them is loads of love and affection!
